Do You Think McDonald's Will Be a Vending Machine?
With the ATM, it became cheaper to open up a bank because you had to employ fewer people. The latest thing now is of course, when people point to the self check out line at every grocery store and they say, well, they're doing away with all those jobs. Well, not exactly. Those jobs are getting shifted to more productive jobs, better jobs in the same grocery store. If things continue in this direction, which I imagine they will, I could see 20 years from now, you talk about going to McDonald's and it's not a building. It's a bank of machines on the wall somewhere.
