Ancient Christian Philosophy - Episode 84

Early Christian thinkers are collectively referred to as Church Fathers. Most of them were educated in the ancient rhetorical curriculum I described back in Episode 84. It's just as clear that they were steeped in the Hellenic philosophical tradition. They knew their Plato, Aristotelian logic, and teachings of the Stoics.
