The Immediate Term of Trump's Indictment

The Republican base is so conditioned to charges against Donald Trump that they just rally immediately behind him. That's where the fatigue may wear down on Trump, but also I think there's an irony here. The life lesson here is listen to your lawyers. When they tell you to do something, that's what you do. This thing reflects a lifetime of chicaneary. He does not believe in rules, laws, norms or institutions. And his thinking is if I can get to the nomination and beat him then he'll be able to escape conviction. But we're way ahead of ourselves here.
