The Soul Is at Ease
The body recognizes that its mortality is permanent. The soul has this realization that the soul is not going to die with the death of the body. All the things that are held in high regard are some useless tit in this time. When the body passes, it can't take anything with us with it. Those things are not thrown into the sea, they're gone. And Jonah is totally at ease in the whole story. He's tired. What this means here is that there is a sense of urgency that the body has that the soul does not have.
