The Importance of Altruism in ML
I disagree with a lot of what you said. I think in terms of incentives, the question is like, are people are people at risk or not? People tend to like want to do, you know, good or like something that is positive. But if you are more like maybe intellectually minded or something and you care about like understanding stuff then I think alignment is like a great place to work. Kind of feel like in mainstream ML, a lot of this is just like kind of hacky stuff.
