Is Asella Grunge a First Party Game?

Asella grounded finally getting a full and proper release, and that will be out this fall as well as september. This seems very much like orion mc caffrey kind of game. I love that these games take place in the past and sort of touch on historical moments. So i'm intrigued. But i did not expect ta side scrowling r p g type game at all. From what we understand this is, there's no combat in this game. It is all writing, which is what josh sawyer'is really, really, really good at.
