The Enlargement That Changes Your Body Can Make You Less Human

The cyberpunk trope of the street samurai, somebody who's like gotten all of these bodily augmentations to make them faster or more dangerous. And I always thought that it was really interesting that what I read a lot was the idea that if you got too many of these augmentations, you kind of lost your comfortable grasp on the consciousness that makes you human. The best answer I came up with is because it wouldn't be a good game mechanic if it didn't.
