Berlin - A Party Town, a Party Town
In the 1970s there was Lou Reed in town walking on the wild side. David Bowie moved into town to reinvent himself, recorded heroes and opened a music club. Nick Cave followed, hanging out at a bar called Rissico, where sewing the bad seeds happened. It was again a remarkable town, a city which is dying and falling apart. And at that time as well, musically and culturally, it was a bit of a hot house too.
