Diversify During a Crisis
Some people think it's diversification because they think, well, if you kind of spread it out amongst multiple investments, then it's not going to do as well. I think in a way, this is kind of the antidote to the second commandment, isn't it? You're going to diversify and that manishes your risk. Usually it's the dogs, you know, the ones which usually do really badly, which actually come to the fore during a crisis. And that's particularly true for asset classes like gold or short term government bonds,. Which have actually done pretty well in terms of preserving capital this year.
