The Story of OpenAI and Machine Learning

The OpenAI organization was founded in late 2015. The idea was to share the benefits of AI research with the world and do that as much as possible on an effort to evolve AI in a way that helps but doesn't harm. Google researcher Dario Amadei visited OpenAI in mid-2016 and he came away thinking that no one at the organization really had any idea of what they were doing. But how? There wasn't really any plan for how to get to where they wanted to be.
