The Unabomber was also part of the whole trade. He's involved in a voluntary psychological study that's pretty abusive and that probably does some damage to him. A lot of what Kaczynski goes through sounds like aspects of the debatterning kind of stuff that is being researched at McGill University. So I think it's pretty likely that he was in an experiment that was part of him, K.K. Ultra.
