The Bigwigs of the Timed, by Albert Hirschman

i hope you enjoyed the book. It's a real treat, i think, and real pleasure to go back to this time and read the big wigs of the timed. Hirschman was one of these guys who has a kind of incredible twentieth century life from he was born in 19 15. He fought with the anarchists in spain against franco like hemmingway and smonbay. And so that's a bit of a preface on what you expect to day. And then, of course, i'll end,. i'll end the lecture with some comments on how i think all this applies to the contemporary institutional a context.
