In the course of your research, has there ever been a moment where things took a surprising turn? I think probably one of the bigger ones was during my PhD project in the Nagales lab. We were working on this transcription factor complex. And so it was confusing because it looks like in both states, they're a V. But if you look really carefully, you realize that things got swapped.
