Is There a Difference Between Intellectual and Public Intellectual?
I was on a wartsib conversation with some friends yesterday, and one of them sent a couple of pages from these book hes reading. It's about the degradation of the word intellectual,. How it almost became a pajority certain circles. My counter to that would be two of the gentlemen we mentioned earlier in the show, milton freedman and samuelson were public intellectuals. Those are my models when you think of public intellectuals. But i'll g move on to your last question. I mean, why, i mean, this is ta semantic ar issue, anyway.
