I bought land in Colorado with my sister many years ago and real estate was peaking at that time. The original intent was to build a home on it and to go there for family vacations. This year I was visiting my sister and I'm like, hey, I wonder what that lot's worth. Do you want to sell it? She's like, well, if we can get X amount for it, I feel like even though that's a loss, I'd be happy with that. We listed it higher than the comps and we got an offer the same date listed, cash closing.
