What Was Your Relationship With Your Mom?
I was jealous of my brothers because they had this connection with mom and she would like give them food. I felt like I was not wanted by her and I didn't think she loved me, really. And so we would get pitted against each other by my dad as well. She didn't really want me to learn how to cook or do things. So I had to figure it out on my own. Elise Book can cook. She can get it done. But then it didn't feel good to have mama look at me with those eyes that just shuttered. Now I'm not saying it's true, but I don't know.
