Do Children Have the Skills to Manage Conflicts?
On average, young children have seven and a half disputes with their sibblings per hour. The number declines as children get older. Children don't seem to have the skills at that age to be able to manage conflicts on their own. And parents play a tremendous role in helping children to acquire those skills and use them.
