Is It a Hindrance?

I watched you play and I was just blown away by your chords. You're way overqualified to produce my silly songs. Well, yeah, I've had formal training. But that's a hindrance. It can hinder the process very much very easily as we've sort of discovered. If it becomes too cerebral or too learnt or too prescribed, something you already know how to do, then I think it can very easily. be dead in the process. So I think a lot of it is actually actively not engaging that part of your learnt.
