In February 2001, Chris DeWolf and his pal Tom Anderson make changes to an email newsletter. XDrive is one of those dot-coms that's hemorrhaging money. Leadership wants to make massive cuts so they brought in a turnaround specialist to trim the fat. "The newsletter isn't about pushing XDrive, it's about selling hats," says Carl Klessig.
