The listen to or follow black women sort in particular, really thrives within our segregated society. I don't know how well it works for working class black women who aren't on t v. It's a much more defensible thing to say if you're talking to black people,. You know, then it's seems like it's a criticism of patriarchy and a phenomenon of not taking women seriously in our own spaces. And that's a much different statement than telling the white liberal to listen to joy read, in effect.
