The Importance of Community Banks
There's a school of thought that we benefit from having so many banks, especially at the community level. I think that getting it right for the community banks is powerfully important. The time to fix this problem was not the morning that the run started. And the fact that these day regulators knew there were problems and said, Hey, there are problems and you should fix them... Shame on them.
