Steve Hsu: How We Learned, Then Forgot, About Human Intelligence

From the New World

CHAPTER

The Politics of Human Capital in Asia

I think in Asia they're a little bit smarter about this stuff and over time you know it may pay off but overall the it's kind of a deafening silence in terms of who's actually mining the shop. The way institutions are working right now they're quite suboptimal in terms of being filters for talent. I'm actually on the I'm barely a zoomer which is which is just like shocking to think about but I think generationally if you grow up after in the kind of like husk of these like already malfunctioning institutions you learn that there is kind of like thriving sub circlesright so of course part of this is just from the informatics community.
