Unpaid Overtime Costs Australians 92 Billion Dollars a Year
Research has been done which showed that unpaid overtime is costing Australians 92 billion dollars a year. It equates to over $8,000 in lost wages for the average worker leading to that total of $90 trillion overall. Industries such as agriculture and miners worked the largest amount of unpaid overtime an average of 5.8 hours a week. Almost half of those who have done so say they do it regularly. At what point do we go enough is enough? How do you even have that conversation though?
