Biden's IDR Debt Forgiveness Plan Is an Absolute Disaster
Biden used his presidential authorities to forgive that student loan debt for those folks who are either on an IDR or who qualified for IDRs, but were never told of such. Even with this forgiveness or debt transfer, there are still 37 million borrowers who have hundreds of billions of dollars in student debt. The point is that these borrowers haven't had to pay a dime, but soon will.
