It's a great step towards healing through acknowledgement of that past version of you. The biggest impact this relationship or journey has brought to my adult life is the way I now speak to myself to honor my emotions and feelings. We have more emotional maturity at this age than we did as children. Being in touch with your inner child is really useful for that.
