The danes would come back to the poles and vote yes the following year once their government had secured their own optouts from the treaty. But for the major government, the damage was done. And so there was this sense, you know, countries that looke like them, more pro european than britain, are obviously having a bit of concern about this. So we who are much more euro sceptic, why should we put up with it?
