Bill Miller beat the S&P for 14 years in a row I believe. But then there was a pretty significant drawdown in the OA crisis. Some of this is just luck that the people at the very top probably were blessed with good luck. That doesn't mean they're unskilled. They could still be skilled but they were skilled plus the luck that got them up there.
