The Difference Between Expectations and Standards

I loved how you laid this out on the book between expectations and standards. How are these different and why is it so important to understand that difference? It's one of the things that I think about most and also fail in most as a parent. We all can look back and think about times when we had expectations placed on us. And our reaction to those expectations is very rarely healthy.
