The Bicarb Before and the Gap Gap Calculation
The last Core lesson for ABG is what I call the bicarbonate before but is commonly referred to as the gap gap calculation. This is another way to find an additional acid-base disorder Tucked away hidden in the ABG Okay, and so you only can do this if well, not only but generally you'll do this If they have a anion gap metabolic acidosis. Hyper triglyceridemia isn't going to cause Alter mental status and hypotension.
