The Differences Between Ed Sanders and NT Wright
NT Wright: Scholars are not always consistent and scholars actually aren't the same throughout their whole lifetime. I think early Tom would read Jimmy's Galatians commentary and be fine with it. The biggest difference that I can see between the way Tom reads Galatians and Jimmy is really on the focus on Abraham. Whenever I hear the name Tom Wright, when I think about Paul, I think Abraham. And Tom has a tendency to try to boil things down to the simplest thing possible. He likes these nice, simple formulations, which I don't have a problem with as just who he is, right? Jimmy did not like that.
