This chapter discusses the advantages and disadvantages of studying a language in a classroom setting versus studying on your own, including factors such as the quality of teachers, cost and time commitment, and the benefits of studying with students from other countries. It also highlights the flexibility, freedom, and abundance of resources available for self-study.
Talking more about my experiences as a student of French, this time reading from notes I took during my French lessons (when I should have been focusing on the class!) and some considerations about learning a language in a classroom and learning on your own. Notes & transcript available.
