Anti tank guns would just hammer them from all sides at point blank range. Whenc the tracks were knocked out, slowly wearing them down through layers and layers of defenses. Then, as if that was bad enough, once the tanks were pinned down, unable to withdraw, the red air force would be called in. That's when h stermvic aircraft armed with new shape charge bombs would bomb them to hell. And nothing would survive that.
