The Soga Clan in Japan
In 643 AD the new leader of the Soga clan was Eruka Soga. He made a young prince of his line Sushun Emperor put him on the imperial throne and then quite soon after there's a lot of politics going on that we don't need to bother about. The Mononobi were crushed at the battle at Mount Shigi but the Nakatomi were still in the game they were still powerful and still in a position to challenge Soga. A secret meeting took place between Kamatari Nakatomi and Oey Nakano. They met beneath an arbor of wisteria this plant that means so much for the Japanese because of its strength and its beauty
