I think open source is, there's a lot of ways you can kind of glean from stars and Twitter mentions. But it can be a bit of a trap. It makes it very easy to sort of define who you are as a person through the projects that you've created or that you work on. The comments that people leave on these open source libraries and requests that they make is just, it's shocking to me. And I would imagine being an open source maintainer that must really affect my emotional state is having to deal with that.
