Lita McCullough-Soletsky is the daughter of a police officer who was at the scene of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination. She grew up in the 1980s, when questions about her father's role went unanswered. "I remember taking in the somber mood of the photograph and getting the feeling that she was telegraphing that this was not a topic for conversation," Lita says.
