The Etymology of Fate

Fay is used a couple of times in the so marillion. i found it twice in reference to fayonor this being one of them. eragorn is described as uh fay by a one in fayadon when he's about to take the paths of the dead. denothor is described as fay when he's suicidal and ture isn't not eragorn but they thought that you know given what they believed about the path of the dead it would take somebody who was fay to do that.
