There's a lot of hoopla about these companies really optimized for for metrics like profit when it comes to recommendation systems time on site. If they were to flood the script a little bit and start thinking about the things you said in terms of offering you maybe something on the long tail the distribution as opposed to the most popular thing i mean that feels like very much the explore exploit trade-off sometimes they might recommend you something bad but sometimes they might get it right and give you something.
