The Importance of Being a Sports Commissioner

Ravi Agrawal: The US should be the commissioner of a sports league rather than one particular actor or the owner of a team. If you're invested in the league or the game itself, you have an upside in your of a data. But once you become just another player, then everyone's interest is that you lose. And so therefore others want the US to lose. That puts us in a very different game and it puts our ability to say China is cheating much more in question.
