Going to an elite institution acculturates you to be a member of the elite. There is no flexibility at the class level for which people who go to places like Cleveland State are being prepared. You're treated the way you're going to be treated in school the way that you'll be treated in your job. It's not just that the structure still exists like the eating clubs, it's that these institutions, they're not just credentialing institutions and institutions that produce people with technocratic skills.
