The Importance of Context in David's Writings

In order to understand what David was inviting us into, we have to consider a few things. The first is his context. We do know from history that on many occasions, David found himself in creation in the wilderness. And while I'm sure he understood the common and natural beauty found in his surrounding, I'm certain that paying attention to this poetic moment wasn't always his focus.
