The Pathology of Forgiveness, Dr. Peterson
Dr. Peterson: Forgiveness is a very complicated thing, because you just don't distribute that randomly. And if someone has done something terrible to you, you don't want to carry that as a burden any more than is necessary. So but you do have to lighten your own soul to some degree. The goal is to sew together the tattered fabric of being that you've inherited so that you don't propagate that forward in your family.
