The 11 Month Prayer
On shabes, no judgment and no punishment takes place in the next world. Any nex that can be done for that soul, i's a maxim of benefit for that soul. Saturday night, the souls go back to the position of judgment apusme. That's why this is the best time to leave the press. And second best, on the same grounds, is mar the rest of the week. The reason the person leads the prayer 11 months is because the soul of that parent could be judged and could be un punished for 11 months if he did mit sols.
