Rockism and the Carpenters in the Seventies
Rockism is taking the ideals of rock and roll and applying them to all the others onras. The idea is that if you're a pop singer, an arm bet singer or something, you're cool in so far as what you're doing feels like rock and roll. Music should be kind of scruffy, shoit, kind of raw. Should be kind of loud, kind of rebellion, right? Right? And and the question that you ask is, like, what about music that's like, kind of clean, kind o lick ye, kind of fun?"
