The Side Effects of IV Iron
If you have anemia, if you don't have enough red blood cells, when you get an iron infusion, your body first sort of takes that iron to make new red blood cells. Some people especially when it's just low iron and they're not anemic, I give them the iron and they really don't feel any different. IV iron is a pretty safe medicine. The main side effect we worry about is very few number of people can have an allergic reaction to it.
