The Russian Alliance Is a Red Line, Ok?
Both the george h w. Bush and bill clinton administrations told russian leadership that the alliance wouldn't expand eastward. But guess what? It continued to expand. In fact, privately, bush's pentagon urged washington to leave the door jar for eastern european membership down the line.
