The Role of the State in Catholic Politics

I'm not interested in being the party of limited government, so to speak. However, I do think effective governance tends to be smaller. It's just that right now it's totally lopsided. We're very litigious about things that aren't all that important. Then we have absolutely no desire to regulate things that genuinely matter. And then when we do get involved in regulating arenas where there are massively important social issues at play that do need to be regulated, we regulate from the wrong side.
