A Brief History of Cochrane's Invasion of Peru

Cochrane's navy ferried san martin and forty 100 men north. They landed first at the peruvian city of pisco, a hundred and 50 miles south of lima. The capture of the esmeralda turned out to be a major turning point. And in fact, it was a direct result of these naval victories that guayakilts revolted in january 18 21.
