Porpoism in the Racing Cars
The floor of a two thousand and 22 from luanca is designed to generate dan force at speeds. But if the floor gets too close to the ground, it stops generating down force. Suddenly, the cars not being sucked down towards the track as much any more. All that happens really quickly and quite aggressively, over and over again. It's called porpoising because porpoises are small dolphin like sea mammals which kind of move up and down as they swim. So the cars are effectively moving in the same way. A bouncing car is potentially, obviously very unstable, therefore very bad for performance. As mick shomaker says, it doesn't feel very nice in the cockpit
