The Millieu and the History of the Working Class
In 1848, Marx and Engels were commissioned to write a manifesto for the far left. The document is called Millieu but it doesn't exist except for this tiny group of German working class intellectuals and emigres. It was written as they still had a certain hope in the kind of radical middle class being prepared to usher in a reformist capitalism. They're essentially saying, you know, nationalism will come to an end.
