How Are These Samples Going to Make It Back to Earth?

The Mars Sample Return Mission, MSR, is a collection of three different spacecraft that all coordinate their efforts to get the samples back to Earth. It's possible that some of the soil samples could provide evidence of ancient microbial life on Mars. The first launch will involve the ESA's Earth Return Orbiter, which will be responsible for collecting the samples from the Martian surface and then finally bringing them back to Earth in 2031.
